This product is woven using traditional hand loom methods in India, resulting in magnificent styling that can’t be replicated using modern tufting machines. A common characteristic of these carpets is that each metre is uniquely different. Variances in texture and product thickness naturally occur, which may manifest in joins being more noticeable. These characteristics are not considered manufacturing or installation faults or defects, but normal variances of a hand- made product. We strongly urge further discussion regarding this with your preferred retailer prior to purchase.

Permanent Pile Reversal Shading, Watermarking

A feature of all cut pile carpets, including twist piles and patterned carpets, is the phenomenon known as “Permanent Pile Reversal”, “Shading” or “Watermarking”.

This is a random effect, not necessarily confined to traffic areas, and is not a manufacturing fault. This carpet falls within the parameters of one that is likely to exhibit these characteristics and we urge you to discuss them with your chosen carpet retailer prior to making a final decision to purchase. Further information is available from your retailer. The carpet institute of Australia’s technical bulletin No 3 “Shading” further explains the above warning.
